What's On Your Bucket List?
There's a really fun movie called, The Bucket List which defines pretty well what a bucket list is. In the movie, two guys meet in the hospital (they're dying) and discuss all the things they wanted to do in their lives that they had not done. These men wrote out their list and proceeded to accomplish the items one by one, however, before they completed the list one of them died. It made me think about all the things that are on my bucket list, and apparently it got others thinking as well. Princess Cruise lines has been publishing what they feel is the ultimate Bucket List. So you can get to know me a bit better, I thought I'd put up a few of the things on my bucket list. Melody's Bucket List
1. Egypt--If it is old and buried in the sand, I want to see it! Well, maybe not that much, but Egypt is the land of pyramids, pharoahs and the mysteries of the ages. Yep, I definitely want to go there before I die! Want to see the pyramids and the Sphinx, get a shot at all the mummies in the Cairo museum, maybe discover the tomb of Cleopatra?!
2. Rome -- You got it, definitely old stuff going on at this destination and I gotta see it. So, who doesn't want to see the Colisseum and the Pantheon? How about the Forum?! Might also want to drop on over to the Vatican to marvel at all the art.
3. Athens--again, more of that old, old stuff...Maybe I'm trying to fnd something older than me to admire! Amazing things here--try the Parthenon or the Temple of Zeus. There is so much to see and do here in the birthplace of democracy. Maybe a day trip to the Oracle to find out your destiny?!
I've figured out a way to take care of these three things right off the bat--a nice Mediterranean Cruise will get me to these three locations! I've found just the itinerary I want with both Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruise Lines, so it's just a matter of time!
4. Australia--taking a bit of a break from the old stuff, I want to see this country that is so rugged and beautiful. Options for getting the most out of my time (when I finally get to go) will be a guided tour (sure don't want to get lost in the Outback) or a really long cruise. Yep, I've seen how I'm going to accomplish this--just need to find the time to go.
5. Disney Paris, Hong Kong, and Japan--Did you honestly think I'd miss these three locations for anything in the world! Nope, I'm going to get there one day, it's just a matter of time! Not so much because I anticipate anything to different, but I really want to see how Mickey Mouse translates to these foreign homes. Plus, it is Paris, Hong Kong and Japan!
That's about it for my list--at least for now!
